Seaworld & the "Killer" Whales

Yesterday, August 18th, my Bride and I went to Seaworld Orlando. There was a crowd but it wasn't as tightly packed as I have seen it!
The main attraction of the day was the visit to Shamu Stadium to see the Orcinus orca, better known as the killer whale.
These are absolutely beautiful creatures. It baffles me that they can actually survive in the environment in which they find themselves. Don't label me as an animal rights activist, I just don't understand how they can live this way. Seaworld did make the statement that most of their animals were born and raised there. This would indicate that these magnificent animals have never known any other life.
